Wrangler teams with Bob Marley Foundation

Denim brand to launch new limited edition apparel collection inspired by iconic musician.

Denim brand Wrangler is partnering with the Bob Marley Foundation to create a limited edition apparel collection inspired by the iconic musician.

The Wrangler x Bob Marley collection was created through a collaborative process with the Marley family, reported Fashion United, to mark what would have been his 75th birthday this year.

The 11-piece capsule includes t-shirts, jackets and lasered shirts, all featuring a range of colourful, stylised prints, retro graphics, photographs of Bob and patches inspired by several of his live albums.

“Bob Marley is fondly remembered as someone who was strong and true to his convictions – qualities that are inherently connected to the Wrangler brand’s ethos,” said Holly Wheeler, vp of global brand marketing at Wrangler.

“Wrangler is honoured to have worked with the Marley family over the past year to design a unique collection that commemorates a music icon who has inspired generations of people through his commitment to fierce idealism and powerful songwriting.”

As part of the celebration around the collection, Wrangler will also donate $25,000 to the Bob Marley Foundation. The Jamaican non-profit focuses on education, music, environmental protection and the health and well-being of the Rastafarian community.
