The Miller family from Ipswich has been awarded the highly coveted title of ‘Britain’s Funniest Family’ by the British public. The family’s winning entry for the Beano competition’s Funniest Family Song and Dance category received 30% of the total votes and saw the family dancing to their own lockdown style rendition of Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now. The competition received millions of votes from the British public over the past two weeks. The Millers will now feature as characters in a Beano comic later this year.

WildBrain CPLG has scored a wave of new deals for the emoji brand in EMEA. The licensee agreements in Europe include Nestlé España (Spain) for a 50cl sports cap water bottle with six different label designs; Clementoni (Italy) for a puzzle range; and La Poste (France) for a second humorous stamp collection featuring some of the popular icons. Meanwhile, in the Middle East, Sun Ce is on board for back to school; Trucare has signed for home and accessories; One2One will create shopping mall events; and Riva has a DTR range covering women’s and children’s apparel and accessories. In addition, Spurt South Africa is developing swim caps for the South African market.

Lickd, a service which provides video creators with access to label-owned music, has confirmed a global partnership with Universal Music Group and Universal Music Publishing Group. The collaboration will see YouTube content creators given access to a diverse selection of new releases and tracks from the two companies’ music categories across multiple UMG territories.

Globematcher has confirmed that the tokidoki x Hello Kitty multiplayer match blast game by Bitbuu Games is now available via pre-launch.

Sesame Workshop has named Kay Wilson Stallings as evp of creative and production.

Cyber Group Studios has teamed with Russian state animation studio, Soyuzmultfilm to create the first ever French and Russian joint animation label targeting the preschool market, Cyber Soyuz Junior. A new preschool series entitled Orange Moo Cow is currently in production and several projects – including Squared Zebra – are in development under the new label.

Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands have added a number of new partners to the Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood licensing programme. Best Ride-On Cars, Children’s Apparel Network, Cottage Door Press, Fisher-Price, Hybrid, M&M Sales, Peejamas, Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing and Steel City Apparel are all on board with the preschool brand. In addition, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood adaptive clothing for special needs children from Zappos – in conjunction with PBS Kids – will also be available by early 2021.

Crunchyroll has promoted Jérôme Manceau to the position of marketing director for KAZÉ Manga & Home Video. He will report directly to head of Crunchyroll EMEA, John Easum.

Rainbow’s 44 Cats brand is ready to welcome visitors to Gardaland Resort in Italy, which is due to re-open on June 13 for its summer season. The 44 Gatti Rock Show – the Buffycats’ outdoor music show dedicated to families and designed specifically for the theme park, will be on stage for the entire summer.

Planeta Junior has secured an agreement to distribute CGI preschool series Kiddets in Europe. The deal means the company is responsible for TV distribution and licensing in over 50 countries including all of Europe, Russia and various nations in the Middle East.
