Numberblocks and Alphablocks reveal online learning resources

Activity videos due to roll out on YouTube to help guide children through learning phonics and numeracy skills.

Alphablocks Limited – the company behind popular preschool shows, Numberblocks and Alphablocks – has launched a raft of learning support materials.

Every week for the next two months, level-led activity videos will be released on the two brands’ YouTube channels to help ‘hand hold’ children through learning phonics and numeracy skills.

The content will offer a comprehensive learning support journey for children aged 3 to 6, all presented in a fun, engaging and colourful way.

To complement the new initiative, a range of new home activity sheets have been developed, which can be downloaded from the new Numberblocks and Alphablocks website, www.learningblocks.tv.

“Alphablocks and Numberblocks are a thoroughly enjoyable part of a child’s journey, as they learn to read and fall in love with numbers,” commented creator Joe Elliot. “So, it’s a real joy to have so many of these shows’ resources available for children right now, from the BBC iPlayer box sets to the Alphablocks and Numberblocks YouTube channels and range of apps.

“We’re also very excited to start releasing levelled activity content for children and their grown-ups to enjoy together on our social media channels and video compilations on YouTube.”

Clare Piggott from Larkshead Media, the licensing agent for the brands, added: “Numberblocks and Alphablocks have both enjoyed a huge surge in online traffic during lock-down, including hitting the key milestone of one million subscribers for Numberblocks on YouTube.

“It is a real privilege to work with Alphablocks Limited and to be able to complement these fantastic learning resources with an ever-expanding number of enthusiastic licensees, all of whom are celebrating fun learning in their product ranges.”
