May The Thoughts Be With You backs Mental Health Awareness Week

Creator Charlotte Reed will be sharing a new daily illustration on the theme of kindness.

The May The Thoughts Be With You property is once again supporting Mental Health Awareness Week (May 18-24), with creator Charlotte Reed sharing a new illustration on the theme of kindness each day.

In addition, Charlotte has also recorded a message about why kindness features strongly in her illustrations and the positive feelings of wellbeing that both showing and receiving kindness can bring.

“In my opinion kindness is the most important personality trait to have,” Charlotte commented. “Being kind and helping others can actually save lives as your act of generosity can make someone feel less alone in a dark place. What’s more, helping others has a positive effect on your own mental health, too – it improves our quality of life and helps bring communities together.”

Clare Piggott, md of Larkshead Media, which handles the licensing for the brand, added: “The licensing industry has been quick to demonstrate acts of kindness at this challenging time – from significant initiatives such as the supply of much needed medical equipment and generous charitable donations through to simpler acts of kindness such as calling and chatting with colleagues.

“Connectivity is the lifeblood of our industry and acts of kindness celebrate our ability to empathise with others. Charlotte’s illustrations which will be shared each day this week will hopefully help to remind us of the importance of kindness in our daily lives.”
