Wizarding World launches Harry Potter at Home

New project combines resources of UK and US publishers, Audible, OverDrive and WizardingWorld.com.

A new initiative under the banner of Harry Potter At Home has been launched by WizardingWorld.com and its partners.

The new project has been designed to help children, parents, carers and teachers add a touch of Harry Potter magic to our new daily lives following the COVID-19 outbreak.

Harry Potter At Home combines the resources of UK and US publishers, Bloomsbury and Scholastic, Pottermore Publishing, spoken-word producer and provider Audible, library supplier OverDrive and WizardingWorld.com.

J.K Rowling and her team have already announced a special open licence for teachers to read the seven Harry Potter books aloud to their pupils on virtual read-a-long sessions on video.

Meanwhile, Audible will be inviting fans to listen to the first book in the franchise – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – as many times as they like in the coming weeks. The book will be available to listen to for free in six different languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Japanese).

Harry’s first adventure will also be made free for all OverDrive library patrons online throughout April.

In addition, WizardingWorld.com has build a dedicated hub which includes special activity kits from Bloomsbury and Scholastic, magical craft videos, articles, quizzes, puzzles and more to help banish any kind of boredom.

Pottermore Publishing will also be teaming with OverDrive to gift the first book in digital form.
