LSA’s Eden Project collab wins Good Design Award

Canopy collection is named the winner in the Tableware category.

LSA International has revealed that its Canopy collection – launched in collaboration with Eden Project – has scooped a Good Design Award.

Assessed on criteria including innovation, functionality, aesthetics and responsibility, Canopy was named a winner of the Tableware category.

The award is run by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The museum’s prestigious Good Design Award was founded in Chicago in 1950, and Good Design remains the oldest and the world’s most recognised programme for design excellence worldwide.

This is the fourth award win for the collection, having also won an iF Design Award, the Host Milano Green Award and the Sustainable Tableware Award at the Tableware International Awards of Excellence.

This achievement also marks the design brand’s fifth Good Design Award win.

The Canopy product range is centred around the concepts of hydration and propagation including drinkware, terrariums, self-watering planters and vases. The dome-shaped designs reflect the form of the Eden Project’s Biomes, and the collection name is inspired by the idea that together we all live as one community under the same canopy.

Each item is handmade from 100% recycled glass and is boxed in recycled, recyclable packaging printed with organic vegetable inks and finished with natural glues to further reduce the impact on the environment.
