Host of free live science experiences taking place at Bond Street store on December 14-15.
The Science Museum Group’s Outreach team will be heading to Selfridges this December, hosting a number of free live science experiments at London’s Bond Street store.
Taking place on December 14-15 in the department store’s fourth floor toy shop, the collaboration will put a science twist on the traditional Christmas shopping experience.
Visitors to the store will be able to see a range of experiments performed live by the Outreach team which feature dry ice, giant bubbles and rockets, as well as watch demonstrations of the Science Museum’s licensed products.
These include a Make Your Own Crystal Set, Chemistry Lab, Microscope and Slimy Laboratory, all from licensee Clementoni.
“We’re thrilled to be showcasing live science experiments at Selfridges this year,” said Zuzi Wojciechowska, senior account manager, brand licensing at the Science Museum Group. “It’s such an iconic and magical location, especially before Christmas, and our fantastic Outreach team’s science demos will be equally jaw-dropping.”
Zuzi continued: “Inspiring audiences to engage with science is at the heart of the Science Museum Group’s mission, and our licensed products and Outreach visits help us to achieve this outside of our five museums.
“It’s a great example of in-store theatre and a unique offering that only the Science Museum Group can provide.”
