Historic Royal Palaces enjoying Royal Mint success

Final coin release of first licensed Tower of London collection continues success.

In the wake of the final coin release from the first licensed Tower of London coin collection, Historic Royal Palaces and The Royal Mint are taking stock of what continues to be a hugely successful licensing partnership.

The final series includes coins depicting the Raven, the Crown Jewels, the Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) and the Ceremony of the Keys and is available in Brilliant uncirculated coins to Silver Proof and Gold Proof coins.

Historic Royal Palaces and The Royal Mint are now considering future collections – exploring the wide range of stories, anniversaries and events which could be commemorated through coins.

“The Tower of London is the historic home of The Royal Mint so were delighted to work with Historic Royal Palaces to celebrate our rich heritage,” said Clare Morgan, head of consumer marketing at The Royal Mint. “Our partnership proved a compelling proposition for customers, and our collections engaged the nation in the unique stories and characters at the Tower of London.

“We look forward to working with Historic Royal Palaces on future projects and continuing to captivate our customers.”

Emma Saunders, head of business development at Historic Royal Palaces, added: “We are thrilled with the success of this partnership, which is testament to the support we at Historic Royal Palaces offer our licensed partners.

“We have worked closely with the sales, design and marketing teams at The Royal Mint, providing behind the scenes access to the Tower of London, as well as meetings with the Yeoman Warders, our curators and even the resident ravens!

“From this, we were able to create bespoke video content for an integrated marketing campaign that brought to life their stories. The four videos we produced have had a total of 83,363 views so far and the interest in this collection continues to grow.”
