Character World’s Adam Howarth completes cycle challenge

Licensee’s supply chain director cycled over 980 miles in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Character World’s supply chain director, Adam Howarth, is celebrating this week after completing a 980 mile cycle challenge to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Adam took part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain – which saw him travel from Land’s End to John O’Groats. The challenge took place over nine days, with Adam cycling over eight hours per day.

Adam undertook the challenge in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society having sadly lost his dad to the disease in December last year.

He has so far raised over £7,000 – £5,000 on his Just Giving page and more than £2,000 through direct donations.

“This challenge was in memory of my Dad who was truly an inspiration to me every day,” said Adam. “I wanted to do something to raise money and awareness for this truly awful disease. It was really the challenge of a lifetime and I hope that my fundraising can help in the fight against the disease.”

If you would like to donate, you can still do so on Adam’s Just Giving page. Simply click here.
