Cannon Busters licensing drive continues to build

Reemsborko benefiting from positive reviews of show following its Netflix debut in August.

New Netflix anime series, Cannon Busters, is seeing its fan base grow following its August debut, with Reemsborko also building up the licensing programme.

The series arrived on Netflix on August 15 and is gleaning positive reviews.

Surrounding merchandise activity includes US apparel partner Fifth Sun, which is supplying Hot Topic with one t-shirt design into 700 stores and a further three designs into 400 stores. A bigger range is also in development.

Also in the US, Trends has the first poster online now – with it due to hit retail soon – while enamel pin and patch ranges from FiGPiN will be available from October.

Other worldwide licensees include Animegami for 1/6 resin statues and Wild Bangarang for a range of leggings, sports tops and sports shorts.

Zee will also launch jigsaws later this year.

Meanwhile, in the UK, Trademark Products has supplied HMV and EMP with t-shirts, with baseball caps and hoodies due to arrive in the autumn.

Finally, Arkansas-based Shire Post Mint will use an antique coin press to recreate the quarters which are fed into Bessie the Cadillac to initiate ‘raging bull’ mode.

Further categories are also currently in discussion.
