In a new deal which expands on the current multi-year relationship in Italy and Spain, Sony Pictures Consumer Products has appointed CPLG as its licensing agent for additional EMEA markets: Benelux, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Middle East. CPLG will represent brands including Ghostbusters, Jumanji, Vivo (the upcoming 2020 holiday relese featuring original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda), Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Outlander, Cobra Kai and back catalogue classics such as The Karate Kid.

Two new licensees have been showcasing Mother & Baby licensed products at Kind ung Jugend this week. Cuddleco (mattresses and bedroom fabrics) and Vital Baby (feeding) have created products following a deal with Golden Goose, which is handling the licensing programme.

GB eye has added ‘scare-tastic’ new IT: Chapter Two products to its horror collection. Items include posters, collector prints, mugs and merchandise.

Brands with Influence has been appointed to represent the fast growing Chefclub brand. The social media cooking brand notched up over 10 billion views in 2018 and an average of one billion views a month in 2019.

British home and fashion retailer Laura Ashley has appointed IMG to exclusively licence the brand in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Home décor and furnishings will be the initial core focus, with future extensions into women’s apparel, fashion accessories and personal care – all product areas that the Laura Ashley brand has successfully developed over its history in the UK, Europe and the US.

Endemol Shine Group has secured a collaboration with social commerce platform Teespring for Simon’s Cat plush.

Skybound Entertainment and Spin Master will bring children’s adventure series Super Dinosaur to Amazon Prime Video on October 6. All of season one part one – consisting of 13 x 30-minute episodes – will be available on the show’s launch day. In addition, Spin Master has also struck a raft of international broadcast deals and will launch a toy line featuring key characters this autumn.

Boat Rocker Studios’ The Next Step is set to dance back onto screens for its seventh season in 2020. The 26 x 30-minute season will include its first holiday special which runs over two episodes. The series will have its global premiere on CBBC, with the holiday special airing in 2019, followed by the new series in 2020.

Guru Studio has signed multiple new broadcast deals for the first two seasons of True and the Rainbow Kingdom. The line-up includes Globosat Gloob (Brazil), Discovery Frisbee (Italy), RTS (Switzerland), DR Ramasjang (Denmark), E-Junior (UAE), Star Channel (Greece), TVB (Hong Kong) and HOP (Israel).
