New theatre show for In the Night Garden

DHX Brands and Minor Entertainment launch show with unique Pinky Ponk air orb.

DHX Brands has confirmed the first ever UK theatre tour for In the Night Garden.

Following nine years of touring in its own portable inflatable auditorium, the hit preschool series will now visit 40 theatres across the UK on a tour which runs throughout the summer until October 27.

The 2019 tour – produced by Minor Entertainment – will also see a world first as the specially designed, 2.5-metre-long In the Night Garden Pinky Ponk Air Orb soars over the heads of audiences, marking the first time an effect like this has been used in theatres anywhere in the UK.

“In the Night Garden’s much-loved live show has been a huge hit with families over the years and we’re delighted to continue our partnership with Minor Entertainment for this thrilling new version for theatres,” said Laura Brennan, brand manager at DHX Brands. “With such exciting innovations as the Pinky Ponk Air Orb, it will continue to be a must-see first theatre experience for young children.”

Oliver Seadon, executive producer at Minor Entertainment, added: “We knew that when we brought the show into theatres for the first time we had to do something magical for our little fans and their families.

“What better way than to take the Night Garden literally into the auditorium in the form of this incredible flying Pinky Ponk? If the toddlers in the audiences are half as excited as I was about seeing it for the first time, it’s going to be such a special experience.”
