Sarah Muller heading back to BBC Children’s

Popular exec to become head of acquisitions and animation in the summer.

Sarah Muller – Sony Pictures Television Networks vp of kids programming – is to take on a new role at BBC Children’s in the summer.

Sarah – who has been key in building channels including Tiny POP and POP (which feature a number of licensed brands) at Sony – will take on the role of head of acquisitions and animation for CBBC and Cbeebies at BBC Children’s in the summer, Kidscreen reports.

She will also be charged with looking for live action acquisitions for both channels.

The move marks a return to the BBC for Sarah – she previously spent almost a decade at the BBC, most recently as creative director for scripted, animation and co-productions at CBBC, before moving to Channel 5 and its Milkshake block and then on to Sony.
