Nuremberg readies Women in Toys panel

Dr Amanda Gummer from Fundamentally Children and Cartamundi’s Trudi Bishop among speakers.

Nuremberg Toy Fair will host a special Women in Toys panel discussion on Thursday January 28, with five experts sharing their views on the changing trends in toys, licensing and entertainment.

Dr Amanda Gummer (pictured), founder and ceo of Fundamentally Children and co-chair of the UK Women in Toys chapter, will be speaking at the event – which takes place from 10am at the Toy Business Forum in the Messe Trend Gallery.

Cartamundi’s head of marketing and licensing – Trudi Bishop – will also be on the panel.

Alongside Patti Becker, founder of Becker Associates, Mali Baum, co-founder of Beezeebee, and Fay Goodman, md of Goodmedia, the panel will discuss a number of subjects.

These will include the future of licensing, the popularity of STEM toys, screen time versus face time, female start ups and entrepreneurs, plus trends in crowdfunding and social media.
