Fair recorded a 20%+ increase in international visitors earlier this month.
The organiser of Bologna Children’s Book Fair is celebrating success for the 2019 event.
The event – which ran from April 1-4 – was more international than ever before with a 20%+ increase in international visitors.
There were 1,442 exhibitors bringing the best in books and content for children, from 80 countries around the world.

Bologna Licensing Trade Fair ran alongside the Book Fair, benefitting from the increased international attendance.
The show saw The Pokémon Company International pick up an award for Licensing Project Kids (boys 6-10) for its Pokémon Collection by Geox. The collection was displayed in special windows during the Bologna Book Fair and Bologna Licensing Trade Fair.
In addition, the organiser also confirmed a new collaboration between Bologna Children’s Book Fair and Moscow International Book Fair, which will see a new International Children’s Book Fair held in Russia in 2021.
