Dedicated pop-up will celebrate brand’s diverse history in honour of milestone 60th anniversary.
From Wednesday March 6, Argos will be transporting kids and adults into the world of Barbie, with the retailer hosting a dedicated pop-up exhibition for the brand.
Held at Argos on London’s Old Street, the exhibition has been created to celebrate Barbie’s diverse history in honour of the Mattel brand reaching the milestone 60th anniversary.
Fans will be given the chance to delve into the fashion doll’s archive and look at some of the nation’s favourite Barbies throughout the year including Aqua Magic Barbie, Teacher Barbie and Super Gymnast Barbie (pictured).
“Argos has been synonymous with toys for over 45 years and for decades, Barbie has been a catalogue favourite,” said Juliet Ward, head of toy buying at Argos. “Argos has stocked over 150 varieties of the iconic doll and continues to remain one of our best-selling toy ranges, resonating with every generation.
“The Argos Barbie Exhibition is a wonderful display of how not only how the toys have developed, but how the brand has evolved and inspired the limitless potential in every child.”
The exhibition will run from March 6 until Wednesday March 13 and will be free to attend.
