Company granted rights to use Gilbert ball markings on its rugby ball light product.
Globall has secured a deal with Gilbert Rugby to use its famous ball markings on variations of its Rugby Ball Light product.
Globall – which currently produces a version of its desk lamp under licence from the RFU – has signed the deal until 2020. It will be allowed to use the colour ellipse trim and Gilbert name and logo on an expanded product range.
“We get a huge number of requests for different team lamps from the public,” explained Steve Hicks, md of Globall. “Until now we have not been able to respond to these enquiries
“We have yet to approach any additional potential licensor clubs or unions, but securing this licence is the first step in expanding our line.”
Designed in Twickenham, the Rugby Ball Light is an exclusive rugby ball-shaped desk or bedside lamp. A replica of the Gilbert Rugby ball used by elite rugby players the world over, the Rugby Ball Light has been designed specifically for rugby fans, both young and old. The 8-piece construction duplicates the structure of a size 5 rugby ball and the colours and graphics match those of the Gilbert original.
Globall is planning to launch the expanded product range in summer/autumn 2019.
