Boots enjoys La Tasca gift range success

Retailer teamed with Beanstalk and Beams International for social media push to boost awareness.

Boots, Beanstalk and licensee Beams International are celebrating the success of an exclusive range of La Tasca gifting products in the retailer.

The Spanish tapas bar partnered with Beams International last year for a six product giftware collection.

This included a Paella set, a hot plate trivet, a set of three tapas dishes and a sangria jug.

The range launched exclusively in Boots stores in October 2015, as part of the retailer’s expanded branded Christmas gifting selection.

A social media campaign was used to help generate interest in the products and drive traffic to Boots’ physical stores and website.

The initiative was implemented across Facebook, Twitter and the La Tasca website in December, involving four different competitions over a four-week period in the lead up to Christmas.

Consumers had a chance to win one of the gift packs by retweeting the brand’s tweet or sharing on Facebook, and then answering a question such as ‘what is your favourite La Tasca dish?’

The posts also promoted the availability of the range at Boots, with links to the relevant pages of the retailer’s website.

“By running the competition on its social media channels, La Tasca accessed its core customer base and brand adorers,” said a La Tasca spokesperson. “This created a wide reach for the campaign and a great buzz around the product range.”
