Half Moon Bay adds May The Thoughts Be With You

Giftware licensee launches full range for Charlotte Reed’s popular brand.

Half Moon Bay is to launch a range of gifting, stationery, ceramics and bags inspired by the May The Thoughts Be With You brand.

The new collection is due to be showcased at Spring Fair next week, as well as at Toy Fair New York (which runs from February 16-19), with products aiming to capture the uplifting and thought provoking values of the growing brand from Charlotte Reed.

The first wave of products will launch at retail in late spring, ahead of Charlotte’s latest book release – My Path to Happy: Struggles with my mental health and all the wonderful things that happened after – which is due to launch on May 2.

Product lines will include entirely new brand content created by Charlotte and will span two areas of Half Moon Bay’s business, Ice House Books and Shruti.

“Half Moon Bay is a perfect partnership for Charlotte and her brand,” said Clare Piggott, director at Larkshead Media, which is the licensing agent for the property. “With their diverse product ranges and expertise at driving creative gifting solutions, we have already developed some wonderful lines that will be unveiled next month.

“We are also thrilled that May The Thoughts Be With You will sit across both sides of the Half Moon Bay business, reinforcing our belief that it has broad appeal and is a perfect brand for the scripted gifting category.”

Etta Saunders Bingham, head of product development and licensing for Half Moon Bay and publisher for Ice House Books, added: “We’re so pleased to be working with a brand that has such warmth, humour and integrity. We hope our customers will find this exciting new range uplifting and fun.”

Michaela Davies, head of product for Shruti, continued: ‘The product collection is fun and quirky, offering something new and refreshing in the marketplace.

“Mental Health awareness is ongoingly a subject of discussion and heightened awareness, so the timing of this collection could not be better.”
