Argos adds brands for spring/summer 2016

Teletubbies, Yo-Kai Watch, Ghostbusters and Shopkins among licensed properties featured in new catalogue.

The Spring/Summer 2016 Argos catalogue has hit shelves – and it features a raft of new licensed lines, from toys through to jewellery collections.

The catalogue launched on Saturday (January 16) and offers a range of over 60,000 items, in-store, online and via its iOS and Android apps.

Key highlights within the licensing arena including the new soft talking toys, collectable figures and play-sets for the Teletubbies – with the DHX property even making the front cover of the catalogue.

New Frozen lines are highlighted including the Frozen Magical Story Cape and Disney Frozen Babies.

Barbie also launches a new range – the Barbie Spy Squad – along with the popular Disney Princess collection.

Within the video games space, all eyes are on Yo-Kai Watch (which is being represented by Bulldog Licensing) and the Ghostbusters starter pack for LEGO Dimensions, to tie in with the arrival of the new movie (being handled by Rocket Licensing).

One of Argos’ most anticipated launches is the new My Little Pony Jewellery collection. This includes a My Little Pony Rainbow Dash charm bracelet, My Little Pony Flutter Shy charm bracelet and My Little Pony Rainbow Dash colour chain necklace.

Also highlighted is the new Shopkins jewellery line, which includes a necklace, bracelet and ring set.

“This season we’ve extended the range of products to include even more branded products, and our exclusive own brand ranges on Chad Valley and Heart of House which can’t be found anywhere else,” explained Stephen Vowles, marketing director at Argos.
