Aldi unveils top toy predictions and online store

LEGO, Barbie and Hatchimals among value retailer’s top ten must have toys.

Aldi has released its ten predicted must have toys for this Christmas, tying in with the launch of its new online toy store.

Names in the listing familiar to the licensing industry include LEGO, Barbie and Hatchimals. The latter is a new addition to the retailer’s popular Specialbuys range, with the Hatchimal Glittering Owlicorn and Hatchimals Colleggtibles available to pre-order from Sunday, November 18 and in-store from Thursday, November 22.

Meanwhile, Aldi’s new online toy store will be regularly updated with toys, gadgets and games throughout the festive season.

“Christmas is such a magical time and this year we’re proud to spread some festive cheer by offering our biggest and best range of toys yet,” said Julie Ashfield, md of buying at Aldi UK. “We also know how stressful Christmas shopping can be, which is why our team of experts have been hard at work to try and take as much of the stress out of Christmas as possible by hand-picking the latest must-have toys for our customers.”

Julie continued: “With more and more Brits shopping for their gifts online, we hope our new online toy store will help to make the process much easier for shoppers and ensure that our quality products are available to more customers than ever before, including those who do not have an Aldi store nearby.”
