Only Fools & Horses talking plush to debut

8th Wonder to launch versions of Del Boy, Rodney and Uncle Albert.

BBC Studios is teaming with 8th Wonder to bring Only Fools & Horses talking plush to the market for the first time.

8th Wonder has worked closely with the licensing team at BBC Studios to create talking plush of the series’ iconic characters, as well as the Trotter’s Independent Traders’ van.

Due to launch for autumn/winter 2018, interactive plush toy versions of Del Boy, Rodney and Uncle Albert (£9.99) will be available from Clintons Cards.

Del Boy comes with phrases such as “Cushty”, “he who dares, wins” and “lovely jubbly”, while Rodney includes the likes of “cosmic” and “my name’s not Dave, my name’s Rodney” among others.

“Being one of the best comedy series of all time we feel privileged to work with BBC Studios on this iconic range and to bring it to retail for the first time,” said Gary Tyrer, md of 8th Wonder.

Julie Kekwick, senior licensing manager at BBC Studios, added: “We are really impressed with the plush range that 8th Wonder has developed for Only Fools & Horses.

“Fans of the unforgettable comedy series are going to be thrilled with the results. The range will complement nicely the successful Only Fools & Horses plush toy range we have with Sega which launched in the leisure trade earlier this year.”

Further Only Fools & Horses product from 8th Wonder is currently being developed and expected to launch for spring/summer 2019.
