Precious deal secured for British Museum

Rosland Capital reveals new coin collection featuring masterpiece highlights.

Precious metal asset company, Rosland Capital has unveiled its latest coin collection licensed by the British Museum.

The series features highlights from among the countless masterpieces in the Museum’s collection, starting with helmets from ancient Greece and Rome, Roman Britain and Anglo-Saxon England.

Launching soon, the first coin set shows a classical Greek helmet of Corinthian type in bronze, dated to around 460BC. The helmet bears an inscription stating that the Argives, inhabitants of Argos, dedicated it to Zeus as spoil won in battle from the Corinthians.

The gold 40mm diameter coin is 999.9 fine gold, while the 50mm silver coin is 999.0 fine silver.

The protective packaging for each coin shows another treasure from the Museum’s collection – a Roman marble relief panel decorated with Roman and Dacian armour, from the 2nd century.

“We are proud to be working with Rosland Capital and to see some of the stunning objects in our collection further immortalised in pure gold and silver collectible coins,” said Craig Bendle from the British Museum. “We are delighted to announce that a set of the coins will be added to the British Museum collection, as objects in their own right.”

Marin Aleksov, ceo of Rosland Capital, added: “It is a great honour for our company to be chosen to create precious metal coins celebrating the Masterpieces of the British Museum.

“We know the Museum is a major destination for visitors from across the world and now we’re taking a part of the Museum’s collection and taking it to the world, in these beautiful coins.”
