Pokémon extends La Compagnie des Petits collab

French children’s fashion retailer plans summer and winter capsule collections.

The Pokémon Company International is continuing its successful collaboration with leading French children’s fashion retailer La Compagnie des Petits, with summer and winter capsule collections for ages four to 12 due later this year.

In addition to France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland, the apparel will be available in Spain for the first time.

The extended collaboration follows the success of the first two Pokémon collections with La Compagnie des Petits in 2017.

This year will bring a summer capsule repeat for boys, available in La Compagnie des Petits stores starting in June, followed by a winter nightwear collection in the autumn.

La Compagnie des Petits is supporting the Pokémon summer apparel, including t-shirts and denim shorts for boys, with window visibility for two weeks in all its stores – including those in Spain, following the line’s extension into the Spanish market – plus enhanced digital support with a Pokémon takeover of its website.

The winter nightwear collection will include a new boys’ and girls’ velvet pyjama set featuring seasonal imagery of Pikachu in La Compagnie des Petits’ trademark style. The winter line will also be supported by renewed window visibility in all stores, as well as another Pokémon website takeover.

Mathieu Galante, senior licensing manager for Europe for The Pokémon Company International, said: “We are delighted to continue our collaboration with La Compagnie des Petits.

“The first two collections were tremendously successful and built on the current popularity of Pokémon apparel across Europe. We look forward to more success with the delightful new collections for 2018.”
