Licensees and retailers honored in Viacom Nickelodeon CP awards

Primark, George, Aykroyd/TDP, Centum, Sambro, intu and The Entertainer/Addo were all recognised in Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products’ annual UK Achievement Awards.

The Awards, which celebrate the accomplishments of retail and licensing partners across the year, were presented last night (June 7) at London’s Millbank Media Centre by Marianne James, VP Commercial Partnerships, Consumer Products and Experiences, Nickelodeon UK & Ireland and Mark Kingston, SVP Consumer Products Nickelodeon Viacom International Media Networks.

“These annual awards provide us an opportunity to recognise the truly outstanding work from our stakeholders which make Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products the success story that it is today”, said Marianne.

It was a double win for Primark. Not only was the retailer pronounced winner of the Retail Programme of the Year, but was also presented with the Retail Partnership accolade. Primark received a special mention for having been a key driver of the JoJo fashion business in the UK.

George scooped the award for Softlines Partner of the Year meanwhile Outstanding Partner initiative went to The Entertainer/Addo in recognition of its innovative approach with the Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon branded consumer product range as well as their work with licensees, direct to retail activity and support as a media partner.

On the licensee front, Centum won the Content Partner of the Year for its quick turnaround in bringing the JoJo Siwa range to market and its inventive launch of the Treasure Cove titles which feature a range of Nickelodeon properties including PAW Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines and Shimmer and Shine.

Hardlines Partner of the Year went to Sambro for developing and launching an amazing slime product offering which includes a hyper blaster and ‘make your own’ range which are flying off the shelves.

Collaboration/Promotion of the Year went to intu for the slime-ulator activation and tour, which proved a hit with kids and families at 13 locations across the UK.

Aykroyd TDP Licensing was honoured in the Licensee of the Year category for tirelessly pushing the Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products business forward and delivering exceptional revenue for the softlines business.
