The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom sleepwear to launch in the US this autumn.
Magic Light Pictures has teamed with Intimo to create a range of sleepwear for the US market featuring its classic brands The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom.
The new range – which is the result of a deal brokered by Licensing Street – will launch this autumn.
Using classic artwork from the books – written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler – the range is listed at Target.com, Walmart.com and Zulily.
Published by Dial books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers (a division of Penguin Random House), the US publishing programme has seen strong growth over the past few years.
Room on the Broom has hit the number one spot at Halloween consecutively from 2013-2017, with over three million copies in print in North America.
Meanwhile, The Gruffalo – which was first published in 1999 – has seen triple-digit percentage growth since 2013.
The animated specials of The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom, produced by Magic Light Pictures, both of which have been nominated for Best Short Animation at the Oscars, are available in the US on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
