Apparel collaboration is part of the Care Bears ‘Colors of Caring’ campaign.
American Greetings Entertainment’s Care Bears brand has revealed a new collaboration with Pusheen.
Launching on April 28 exclusively at JapanLA – a Los Angeles-based store inspired by Japanese and LA pop culture – and Pusheen’s online store, heychickadee.com, the apparel collaboration is part of the Care Bears’ ‘Colors of Caring’ campaign.
The Care Bears x Pusheen collection will include t-shirts, dresses and more in a range of sizes.
A special launch event will be held at JapanLA, with fans being given the chance to win prizes and have a free gift with purchase, while Cheer Bear will also be giving out hugs.
“Not only are we very excited to welcome Pusheen to the Care Bears family, she is one of my personal favourite characters, who fits so lovingly into the ethos of Care-a-lot,” said Jenn van Haaff, Care Bears’ brand manager at American Greetings Entertainment.
“It’s extra special that we get to work on a line with inclusive sizing, as we always feel there’s a Care Bear for everyone, and now this apparel line reflects just that.”
Claire Belton, creator of Pusheen, added: “Care Bears have been such an inspiration for me and others around the world. I’m so happy to see this adorable collection come together.”
The owner of JapanLA, Jamie Rivadeneira, continued: “We are so happy to see Care Bears and Pusheen together as a collaboration, especially on clothing. We love seeing these two amazing brands come together, and we are excited to have it debut at JapanLA.”
