Restaurant to launch egg-themed pop up menu for two weeks in celebration of character.
Authentic Hakata cuisine specialist, Shoryu Ramen, is welcoming popular Japanese character Gudetama to London this Easter – launching an exclusive egg-themed pop up menu for two weeks.
The collaboration with the Sanrio property has been inspired by the lazy egg’s laid-back attitude, something Shoryu always endorses for its guests.
Available exclusively at Shoryu Go, a Ramen bar on London’s Air Street, from March 26 to April 8, diners will be able to take time out to enjoy the ‘eggstra specially’ decorated Easter menu: three courses plus drink and limited edition Gudetama keyring for £22.
The all-new set menu will offer a wide range of favourites with a touch of Gudetama decoration.
For example, the restaurant’s signature Ramen – Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu – comes with added fried shallot and Gudetama egg.
In addition, there will be a range of Gudetama merchandise for guests to pick up at Shoryu Go or from Japan Centre Panton Street, Piccadilly and the Japan Centre online store. Items will include a shopper bag, A5 wiro-smart notebook, oyster card/travel card holder and premium mugs featuring the character.
A competition will also run on Shoryu’s Instagram, where guests will be invited to take a selfie with Gudetama and post on social with the hashtag #shoryugudetama, with the winner bagging a limited edition Gudetama egg suitcase and other prizes.
