Hasbro has been named as the new global master toy licensee for Saban’s Power Rangers. Hasbro will design and launch a wide variety of toys, games and role-play items inspired by the franchise. It will hold the worldwide rights (excluding Japan and certain other Asian markets) effective as of April 1, 2019. Bandai will continue its agreement for the Power Rangers toy lines until then.

Universal Brand Development has revealed details of additional UK licensing partners for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Mattel and LEGO will lead the CP retail roll out, while other licensees on board now include Cartamundi, Clementoni, Funko, Mashaem Collectables, Mondo SPA, Ravensburger, Sambro, Skyrocket Toys, Posh Paws, Whitehouse Leisure, MV Sports, Aykroyds, Fabric Flavours, Fashion UK, Global Licensing, Roy Lowe & Sons, Smith & Brooks, TDP Textiles, Trademark Products, White Optics, Egmont UK, Carlton Publishing, Danilo, IG Design Group, Pyramid, RMS, Character World, Corsair, DNC, More for Your Stores, Walltastic, Kid Design, Procos, Bon Bon Buddies, Chupa Chups, Finsbury Food Group, Pes, Nestle, Rubie’s and Build-A-Bear.

Sesame Street has debuted a number of new apparel and lifestyle collaborations as the brand approaches its 50th anniversary. New apparel collections are due this year form Bioworld, Mad Engine, Zara, Lauren Moshi and Drake General Store. Beyond apparel, the brand is also collaborating with lifestyle companies Globe Brand and The Land of Nod.

Nickelodeon has confirmed the UK and international launch of Nick Jr Play, an interactive app experience that offers preschoolers their favourite Nick Jr shows, games and music in one. The app has already enjoyed success in the US, with more than 16 million downloads to date.

One Animation has partnered with the UK’s largest coach operator, National Express, to feature Oddbods on its on-board entertainment system, VUER. Travellers will also have access to multiple Oddbods activity pages and competitions via The View magazine throughout the year. From July, there will also be the opportunity to travel in a National Express coach sporting each of the seven characters from the show.

Channel 4 has ordered more episodes of The Crystal Maze from Fizz. The 12 x 60′ order further extends the game show’s run on the channel, following its return last year with Richard Ayoade at the helm. Bulldog Licensing is working with Fizz to build the CP programme for the brand.

Genius Brands International is preparing for the global debut of its new preschool series, Rainbow Rangers, with the appointment of two agents. Centa IP will handle content distribution and licensing throughout Australia and New Zealand, while Alicom will represent the brand’s licensing business in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.

Global Icons has been appointed the worldwide licensing agent for collectable doll line Cupcake Surprise. The company will look to launch a CP programme covering apparel, accessories, plush, games, social expressions, back to school, interactive, food and drink, home furnishings, publishing and more from the autumn.

9 Story Distribution International has licensed the new animated children’s series Luo Bao Bei to ABC Australia. ABC Kids has acquired the series in both English and Mandarin, with episodes premiering last week to coincide with the Chinese New Year.

The Brand Liaison is to represent children’s and fashion designer Amy Coe. The agency will continue to build the brand across all categories including layette, infant/toddler and 7-14. Amy Coe Home will focus on baby bedding, juvenile linens, room décor and accessories.
