Jazwares ups scare factor as Feisty Pets master toy

Company to build on success already enjoyed by breakout entertainment brand.

The licensing programme for the Feisty Pets brand has been given a boost with Jazwares coming on board as global master toy partner.

Surge Licensing – the licensing agency for William Mark Corporation – secured the deal for the breakout entertainment brand, which set social media platforms alight in 2017.

The interactive plush – with characters including Glenda Glitterpoop and Sammy Suckerpunch – change from cute and cuddly to fierce with a gentle squeeze, with raging fangs and evil sarcastic grins among the facial expressions.

Mark Forti, president and ceo of WMC, developed Feisty Films, shorts on YouTube that showcase the adventures of the Pets. Released in May 2017, the shorts proved a hit, with the brand becoming one of the top toy search terms on eBay and Amazon.

Laura Zebersky, chief commercial officer at Jazwares, said: “Feisty Pets is one of the hottest crazes happening in toys right now. We are so excited to be part of this phenomenon and can’t wait to create 360° experiences worldwide.”

Elan Freedman, vp at Surge Licensing, added: “While Jazwares helps Feisty Pets make a home at retail worldwide, fans should be prepared for some characters to be spontaneously retired while others may debut as limited-edition characters.

“The toy range will be available in every store and on every e-commerce platform imaginable.”
