Teletubbies returning to Butlin’s for Big Play Date

New show for 2018 will also feature the Tiddlytubbies.

DHX Brands has confirmed that the Teletubbies will be returning to Butlin’s in 2018 with a new live show – which will also feature the Tiddlytubbies for the first time.

The show – called Teletubbies’ Big Play Date – features new music as part of a 20-minute live performance that calls for children to join in with a variety of fun games, from tickling, to dress up, to catch.

It is also the first live show to feature the Tiddlytubbies, who will be joining the Teletubbies for part of their Play Date. The Tiddlytubbies are eight smaller Teletubbies who regularly feature in the TV show.

Butlin’s md, Dermot King, said: “The Teletubbies proved hugely popular in 2017, not only with our younger guests but also with their parents – no doubt most of whom have very happy memories of them from their own childhood.

“We are delighted to welcome them back again for 2018, with a new show that will once again be fun and entertaining for the whole family.”

Danielle Tanton, global live events and attractions manager for DHX Brands – which produces the show – added: “Following a year of Big Parties with the Teletubbies, we are delighted to introduce a brand new 20-minute show for 2018 which invites children to join the Teletubbies on their Big Play Date.

“Following the themes of the new TV series, the show is filled with friendship, songs, games, dancing, big hugs and laughter and will have children jumping from the start with their Teletubby friends.”

Tickets to Teletubbies’ Big Play Date are included in the price of every family break at Butlin’s three seaside resorts (Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness) and can be seen in the Skyline Pavilion.
