Daniel Prince named md of Danilo

Daniel will take on new role at popular licensee from January 1, 2018.

Daniel Prince has been appointed as managing director of Danilo, taking up the role from January 1, 2018.

Daniel joined the greeting cards, calendar and giftwrap licensee in 2001, launching Danilo’s first sound card ranges and personalise.com, giving customers the chance to customise cards.

Chairman and chief executive, Laurence Prince (pictured above with Daniel), will still be very much involved with the business, while Daniel is also supported by licensing director Dan Grant and sales director Brett Smith.

2018 will see Danilo celebrate its 40th trading year, with a number of new licences set to join the portfolio.

Daniel commented: “We are looking forward to 2018 when we celebrate our 40th trading year, adding new licences to Danilo from Roald Dahl, World of Walliams, Jurassic World, The Gruffalo, L.O.L Surprise and, one we are all incredibly excited about, Peter Rabbit.”

Danilo now has a permanent staff headcount of over 30 (and seasonal at busy times) and there are further plans to increase the work force to drive European sales.

Plans are already in place to increase product ranges including more diaries with mid-year options for 2019.

Daniel continued: “We are aiming to be the ‘go to’ company for licensed greeting cards, calendars and giftwrap in the future.”
