As the anniversary approaches, Sesame Workshop reveals new deals and plans.
With the 50th anniversary of Sesame Street approaching in 2019, Sesame Workshop has told The Source that the coming years will be ‘impactful, inspiring and just plain fun’ for the brand.
The festivities for the 50th milestone are already being planned and will include all new star-studded TV content, social media campaigns, interactive consumer experiences, new products and more.
2017 has already been a busy year for the brand – which works with CPLG on the licensing programme – in both broadcast and product.
As well as the core show, Sesame Workshop is looking for licensing partners for Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck – a new segment which will debut in the upcoming season of Sesame Street – and Elmo’s World.
Within the product space, there have been further successes in apparel – with collaborations with PUMA, H&M, Zara, Fabric Flavours, Fashion UK, BCI and Somerbond, plus a new partnership with Alice Vandy launching soon.
Further opportunities are also available in ancillary toys.
