DeAgostini revs up with new Hot Wheels deal

Part work publisher signs up for new playground craze, Hot Wheels Slime Race.

The Hot Wheels licensing programme has been given a further boost, with part work publisher DeAgostini coming on board with the new playground craze, Hot Wheels Slime Race.

The product launched last month in the UK and Italy and includes 16 different brightly coloured Hot Wheels Big Wheel trucks, each contained in one of eight ‘super-slippery’ slimes in a plastic barrel.

Fans will be able to add to their slime collection as they have the chance to retrieve the special feature slimes including special effects such as fluorescence, metallic effect and glow in the dark.

The product also comes with a leaflet detailing the Big Wheels checklist for children to keep track of the progression of their collection, and educational content based on cars and the wider motoring world.

The range is being backed with an extensive marketing campaign including TV advertising during prime time children’s programming.
