Motörhead rock out with new video game

New game ‘lives and breathes Motörhead, head to toe’ says Global Merchandising Services.

A new video game is aiming to bring 40 years of iconic rock band Motörhead to life.

Motörhead: Through the Ages has been created by Haemimont Games, with creative help from band members including the late Lemmy, plus Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee.

Included as part of Victor Vran: Overkill Edition, Motörhead Through the Ages is available for PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC and Mac.

It features some of the band’s most iconic tracks – including Ace of Spades, Overkill, Bomber and We are the Road Crew – all mastered for the game from the band’s original studio recordings.

These are accompanied by a collection of worlds, weapons, special abilities and bosses inspired by Motörhead.

The deal was brokered by Global Merchandising Services, the band’s worldwide merchandising agent.

Jens Drinkwater from GMS said: “Motörhead: Through the Ages lives and breathes Motörhead, head to toe. The team at Haemimont took incredible care to deliver a truly authentic experience; with the help of the band I have no doubt this has been accomplished.”

The band’s Phil Campbell added: “Lemmy was so excited about this game, and when he wasn’t having the time of his life, he would always be sending new designs over to the game studio.

“I’m delighted with the result, as I know Lemmy would have been, and for any Motörhead fan, this is another amazing way to connect with the band.”
