Scholastic gets on board with Andrew Davenport’s new preschool property.
Sutikki is building up the licensing programme around the hotly tipped Moon and Me – the new preschool property from Andrew Davenport – with Scholastic signing up as global master publishing partner.
Editorial development of the new range will be led from Scholastic’s UK offices, working closely with Andrew to roll out the line across a number of territories from autumn 2018.
Scholastic is the second licensee on board for the property, with Hasbro signing as global master toy earlier this year.
The deal was scouted for Scholastic by UK licensing scout Maya Maraj, and acquired by Elizabeth Scoggins, publisher, licensing and non-fiction, Scholastic UK.
Elizabeth commented: “We are beyond excited to be working with Andy Davenport and Sutikki on a project with such great pedigree.
“It’s a real thrill to welcome Andy to Scholastic both as an author and as the creator of an incredible new children’s programme. We’re very much looking forward to working together to create a truly memorable publishing programme for Moon and Me.”
Andrew Kerr, co-founder of Sutikki, added: “I’ve been lucky enough to know and work with the team at Scholastic for a number of brands over many years, and I couldn’t imagine a better partner to do justice to all of Moon and Me’s tremendous storytelling opportunities.”
