BBC Worldwide has given the licensing programme for preschool hit Hey Duggee a further boost, welcome a number of new partners.
A deal with Roy Lowe and Sons will see the launch of a range of socks, while DNC will be creating lunchware and dineware.
In addition, Scary Beasties has created a new Hey Duggee app, joining the successful line-up that has recently surpassed a million downloads.
Hey Duggee Jigsaws will be available from mid-May and features a collection of jigsaws to entertain youngsters during the holidays.
Anita Majhu, licensing manager at BBC Worldwide, commented: “We’re thrilled to sign more partners for our wonderful Duggee brand and I know that both DNC and Roy Lowe will make fantastic products that our fans will love.”
With new episodes due to air this summer, Hey Duggee regularly attracts over 415,000 viewers, outperforming CBeebies slot by 70% for individuals 4+.
Hey Duggee has also seen successful global growth ranking in the top five most watched programmes on ABC kids in 2016 and among France 5’s top ten titles. In Italy, Hey Duggee was one of the top three most viewed shows for Cartoonito within its first month on air.
Existing UK licensees include Golden Bear (master toy), Penguin Random House, Immediate Media, Aykroyd and TDP, Blues Clothing and Blue Sky Designs. Partners in the US include Jazwares as master toy and in Australia, Jasnor is the distributor for toy and melamine.
