Sports Direct to launch Tour de France apparel

CPLG brokers deal for exclusive range with the retailer, launching this month.

CPLG has brokered a deal with Sports Direct, which will see the retailer launch an exclusive range of Tour de France apparel this month.

The range will include hoodies, t-shirts and polo shirts featuring the Tour de France logo. They will be available both in-store and online in plenty of time for this year’s race, which departs from Dusseldorf on July 1.

John Taylor, commercial director at CPLG UK, said: “We are delighted to see this famous sports brand translated by Sports Direct into a strong licensing range for cycling enthusiasts, reflecting the core of the Tour de France race.”

A Sports Direct spokesperson added: “We’re very excited to be partnering with the Tour de France in this way. This is a fantastic opportunity for customers who want to support one of the world’s truly great sporting events.”
