LEGO among ‘most loved’ brands on social media

Tesco, Apple, Google also feature in NetBase’s Brand Love report.

A new report has found that LEGO is among the ‘most loved’ brands on social media.

This is according to NetBase’s Brand Love report, which measured positive sentiment expressed on social media towards the leading brands across networks including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr.

While Apple and Google take the top two spots, LEGO comes in at number three.

The entertainment company – which this week revealed a heavyweight loyalty promotion with Sainsbury’s – was followed by Tesco, BMW, Adidas, Audi, Porsche, Gucci and BP.

British brands British Airways and Marks & Spencer came in at 14 and 15 respectively.

The listing was put together by calculating a metric encompassing volume of mentions, intensity of consumer ‘passion’, net sentiment and the Brand Passion Index, according to The Drum.
