Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2017: The Winners

Over 400 licensors, licensees, agents and retailers gather at The Dorchester to see winners crowned.

The winners of the 2017 Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards have been crowned at a glittering ceremony at The Dorchester.

Over 400 licensors, licensees, agents and retailers were present at the London hotel on Thursday, April 27, to find out the Product, Property and Retail winners, as well as the 2017 Brand Licensing Ambassador.

John Vincent, co-founder of LEON gave an entertaining pre-awards talk about his ‘naturally fast food’ brand, while Rory Bremner, impressionist extraordinaire, hosted the awards ceremony.

Alan Dedicoat, the familiar ‘voice of the balls’ on BBC 1’s National Lottery show became the voice of the B&LLAS for the afternoon.

Jakki Brown, joint md of Max Publishing (owner of the B&LLAs) commented in her opening speech: “It takes a lot to establish a strong brand, but it arguably takes even longer to intelligently and creatively build a credible brand licensing programme from the core; one which completely resonates with both the brand values and the end consumer.

“Everyone here today, whether you are a brand owner, retailer or licensee, are the collective experts in achieving that. Today is all about celebrating and rewarding your excellence.”

The B&LLAs have been fully embraced by the industry. Brand Licensing Europe 2017 was headline sponsor, LIMA gave its full support while a strong roster of leading names formed an impressive roll call of sponsors. Guests dug deep in the hope of winning one of an impressive array of raffle prizes that raised well over £7,000 for The Light Fund.
