Ascot Racecourse has revealed five new licensing deals ahead of the flagship racing festival, Royal Ascot. Links of London, Christy, Christys’ Hats, Milly Green and Oliver Brown are all on board to create a variety of product ranging from jewellery and hats through to homeware and food gifting. Coolabi’s Clangers brand has been confirmed as the Diana Award family partner, supporting National Kindness Day (March 31). The Diana Award is the charity legacy to Princess Diana’s belief that young people have the power to change the world. National Kindness Day encourages everyone to do something kind for someone else. A special microsite has been set up, which includes a Clangers Kindness Activity Chart to help children learn about kindness with their families.

Soy sauce brand Kikkoman has signed up Bradford Licensing to help extend it into new product categories in the US. The agent will initially focus on lifestyle categories such as casual fashion items and home décor including kitchen textiles and Japanese cutlery. Tact Communications is the master agent for the brand, in association with Tokyo-based licensing consultancy ZenWorks.

Koko Rose Media is set to present a new line of original baby book concepts at this year’s Bologna Book Fair. The titles feature Jo Rose’s Deer Little Forest brand, and have been developed with Ingrid Helberg Consulting. Concepts will include classic 0-3 themes such as colours, activities, numbers, learning and ABCs.

Genius Brands International is continuing to grow the SpacePOP brand, securing new content licence agreements for distribution of the music-driven animated series in China with WeKids Asia and SpacePOP music videos in the UK with U Music TV.

Silver Buffalo – a New York-based housewares and home décor company – is to acquire the Snackeez brand and its IP assets from Ideavillage. The company will now look to expand the brand’s retail presence and grow through category expansion.

MD Licensing has inked a new deal with Pea&Promoplast for the creation of a number of Angry Birds promotional products – beginning with soft toys.

The Smiley Company was the face of the rebranded M.A.D.E food show in Paris earlier this week. The Smiley team was heavily involved in creating the show’s new identity.

King Features has revealed a new fashion collaboration for the Popeye brand with Moods of Norway. The men’s collection includes monochrome long and short sleeved t-shirts, sweatpants, polo shirts, shirts, boxers, socks and coordinated pyjamas and nightcap sets in a drawstring bag.
