Rocket Licensing has revealed the first UK partners for Sony Pictures Animation’s hotly tipped The Emoji Movie. Centum Books will look to build the publishing category; Smith & Brooks is on board for kids’ apparel; TDP/Aykroyds will produce kids’ nightwear and underwear; Pyramid International has signed for posters and stationery; Dreamtex will create a range of bedding; and Whitehouse Leisure will develop plush for the leisure sector.
The Powerpuff Girls is set to launch on Gulli in France and on Disney Channel in Germany from March. This follows on from last November’s debut on CITV and on free to air Italian channel, Boing. The first wave of product for the Cartoon Network property has also begun to roll out across EMEA. The merchandise launch is spearheaded by Spin Master’s toy range with fashion, accessories, gifting, homewares, personal care, FMCG and back to school products following shortly.
