Withit Studios confirms licensing agency plans

Based out of the UAE, agency will work with Withit own brands and other IP.

Withit Studios is venturing into the licensing agency space, with the formation of the new Withit World venture.

The agency – which will be based out of the UAE – will act for Withit’s own brands and a host of other IP, especially from Asia.

Withit World would act as a licensing arm for the Withit Studios parent company in Asia Pacific, Middle East and North African markets.

Formed by Dolph Zahid in 1991, Withit World has enjoyed success with an array of character brands including Joey & Joy, Kitties in the Cities and Phizzogs among others.

Dolph explained: “The idea to set up a licensing agency has been on our minds for quite some time.

“By the end of 2016 we sensed a good opportunity and decided to take the leap and expand. With a fully operational base in Brighton and now an extended arm in UAE, we will be able to focus on Europe and Asia Pacific/MENA region in a more strategic manner.”

Bradley Caines, creative director and partner of Withit Studios, added: “This new development also provides us exciting opportunities and more energy to concentrate on our creative development.

“So far we’ve only kept Europe in mind while developing our creative assets. But with the UAE operations getting underway we would expand our horizons to include trends and patterns of the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.”

Key appointments and brands to be represented by the new venture will be announced shortly.
