$1bn museum will feature Lucas’ personal collection of art, including Star Wars ephemera.
Star Wars creator George Lucas is to open a $1 billion Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, which will include ephemera related to the franchise.
George’s personal collection of fine and popular art will be showcased in a futuristic looking museum planned for LA’s Exposition Park.
A competing design for Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay was also in the running, after George abandoned plans to establish the museum in Chicago last summer.
He has pledged around $1 billion to the project which is likely to create around 1,000 permanent jobs.
