Divine Chocolate teams with Aardman for new Fairtrade lolly of popular character.
Aardman has teamed up with Divine Chocolate once more, this time to produce a Shaun the Sheep Fairtrade chocolate lolly.
Divine Chocolate was selected to be the exclusive chocolate supplier for Aardman in the UK in 2015, launching the popular Shaun the Sheep Easter Egg.
Following the success of the first product, the company will now be launching a smooth milk and white chocolate Shaun the Sheep lolly for Easter 2017.
It is made from premium quality, natural and Fairtrade ingredients including Ghanaian cocoa grown by Kuapa Kokoo, a co-operative of 85,000 cocoa farmers who own 44% of the Divine company.
Divine Chocolate also uses Fairtrade sugar from the Kasinthula grower’s co-operative in Malawi and vanilla from Fairtrade farmers in Madagascar.
Rachael Peacock, Shaun the Sheep brand manager at Aardman, said: “Spring lambs and Easter go hand in hand so it’s fantastic to be working with Divine Chocolate again following the success of our Shaun the Sheep egg last year.
“I’ve no doubt that fans will be delighted to see Shaun return in treat-size chocolatey form.”
Charlotte Green, marketing director at Divine Chocolate, added: “We’re delighted to partner with Aardman once more to delight consumers with the much loved character of Shaun the Sheep, in tasty chocolate form. We’re confident the delicious Fairtrade chocolate and cute character will be a hit with parents and children alike.”
