Hallmark extends Disney relationship

New deal extends product coverage to include greeting cards and all GP products.

Hallmark is extending its partnership with Disney from January 1, 2017.

The new agreement sees Hallmark extend its product coverage to include greetings cards and all GP products, as well as Star Wars and Marvel Itty Bittys.

Hallmark will be launching its new Disney ranges at special roadshows from January 10, with exclusive designs for independents under its Handpicked brand.

Hallmark also has a full promotional calendar including new film releases, starting with Beauty & the Beast in March, to showcase in key retail partners.

Alan Brook, head of licensing at Hallmark, said: “It’s a great win for Hallmark and one we are particularly proud of given the friendship between JC Hall and Walt Disney going back nearly a century, when they were both ambitious young men trying to make a go of it in Kansas City.

“Disney was Hallmark’s very first licence agreement signed in 1932 and the two shared a common belief of never being afraid to dream big; values still hold true today.”

Alan continued: “We are very excited about the opportunities for us and our key partners.

“Our new ranges across Disney, Marvel and Star Wars are superb, offering innovation across all ranges including pull out posters, stickers, honeycombs and intricate pop ups.”
