Including M&Co set to launch a new Dinosaur Roar childrenswear range in February 2017.
M&Co is to launch a new Dinosaur Roar childrenswear collection in 2017 in conjunction with the Natural History Museum. The new range will be produced by Fashion UK and will include a mix of nightwear, daywear and accessories. A variety of Dinosaur Roar merchandise will sit alongside the clothing range in-store and will be available online. It will be available in 240+ M&Co stores across the UK, as well as online, from February 2017. The deal was secured by Nurture Rights. Dinosaur Roar is the only preschool brand to be endorsed by the Natural History Museum and all products, including the books, will carry the NHM logo.
CBeebies has commissioned new episodes of DHX Media‘s preschool series, Twirlywoos. 25 new episodes have been commissioned, bringing the total number to 100. In addition, DHX Media has also secured new international broadcast deals for the first 50 episodes in key territories including the US, Australia, Canada, Spain, Hong Kong and the Middle East.
Simon Hedge has been promoted to the role of group vice president for licensing and distribution development at the Giochi Preziosi Group. This will be in addition to Simon’s role as managing director of GP Flair, a role he took on in 2013.
Disney has launched a global online coding event to help children learn the basics of coding. Moana: Wayfinding with Code is a free online tutorial that offers an introduction to the basics of computer science, featuring characters from the upcoming film. Disney has also announced activations across the UK and rest of the world that invite millions of students to learn the basics. The tutorial has been created in collaboration with Code.org.
Blonde Sheep Licensing has signed up BWI and Brown Trout to the Silverstone Heritage licensing programme. BWI will launch apparel early next year in grocers, high street retailers and department stores. BWI’s licence also extends into accessories including phone cases, key rings, wallets and lanyards. Meanwhile, calendars from Brown Trout will launch in 2018.
eOne is preparing for the launch of PJ Masks merchandise in France. The company has appointed France TV Distribution to manage the CP programme in the region. Toys will debut at mass market and toy specialists from January 2017, while additional categories including footwear will roll out from autumn/winter 2017. Back to school from ATM will follow in 2018.
Knockout Licensing has granted Jakks Pacific the rights for a line of pet products inspired by Boo: The World’s Cutest Dog. The pets division of the company will now launch dog toys, plus apparel, beds and blankets.

Genius Brands International has launched its SpacePOP tween brand at select Toys R Us stores across the US and online. The launch includes an array of products such as bath and beauty, books, blind bags, fashion dolls, headphones and microphones, bags, backpacks and water bottles, socks, umbrella, activity sets, board games and confectionery. There will also be new music CDs, including an exclusive version of the SpacePOP soundtrack.
Dexter Morgan’s kill room costume and Miami Metro ID Card are just two of the items set to go under the hammer in an upcoming Dexter Prop and Costume Auction. Prop Store – one of the world’s leading film and TV memorabilia companies – will be producing an online auction event of original props, costumes, scripts and other memorabilia used in the making of the Showtime series. Under licence by CBS Consumer Products, there are almost 150 lots and bidding will run through to Friday December 2.
Hasbro Studios is to release a new My Little Pony album – Explore Equestria Greatest Hits. The record includes a collection of tracks from seasons one to five of the TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and has been especially created for a Record Store Day Black Friday event on November 25.
