eOne has revealed the first wave of partners for preschool animation, PJ Masks. The licensing programme is spearheaded by Flair’s Just Play division, which will distribute the brand’s master global toy line from February 2017. Meanwhile, Hachette is on board as master publishing partner; Immediate Media will produce a standalone magazine; Redan will introduce content into its multi-brand Fun to Learn Favourites and Fun to Learn Friends titles; and Aykroyd TDP will launch kids’ nightwear and underwear.

Disney has revealed the first product collection inspired by the hotly tipped Moana. The range includes the likes of figurine sets, soft toys and costumes from licensees such as Hasbro, Jakks Pacific, Posh Paws, Parragon Books and Ravensburger among others.

British triathlete brothers, Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee have partnered with Cartoon Network UK to support the latest phase of its anti-bullying campaign, CN Buddy Network. The initiative encourages children to ‘Be a Buddy, Not a Bully’ and aims to raise awareness and empower young people to take positive action against bullying.

JAM Media has signed a global publishing deal (excluding North America) with Egmont Publishing with its Little Roy property. The programme will include TV tie-ins for both print and e-books, plus magazines based on the hybrid live action/animated series, which airs on CBeebies and CBBC in the UK. Content will focus around Little Roy, along with is cartoon persona of Wonder Roy.

The Smiley Company has appointed Dream Theatre as its agent in India.

Her Universe and ThinkGeek have joined forces to create a new Star Trek fashion collection. The 50th anniversary range includes dresses, jackets, blazers, skirts, fashion tees, scarves and brooches among other items.

DHX Media has licensed more than 2,400 half hours of preschool and kids’ content across five video on demand services in China. The deals cover 19 series including classic Teletubbies, Twirlywoos, Inspector Gadget and Yo Gabba Gabba among others.

Space Goat Productions is partnering with Studiocanal, Oak Productions and Creative Licensing to make The Terminator: The Official Board Game, which will be launching on Kickstarter in February 2017.

American Greetings Entertainment has introduced a new American Sign Language app with Care Bears themes. The app has been created by Ink & Salt and includes over 400 signs and phrases, ten bundles of categorised themes, plus classic Care Bears sayings translated into ASL.
