Turtles, Teletubbies, My Little Pony among new faces starring in Sunday’s extravaganza.
The Hamleys Christmas Parade is returning for a second year this weekend – with a host of new licensed characters joining the festivities.
The retailer will host the toy parade this Sunday – November 20 from 10.30am to 4pm – giving families and children the chance to see their favourites characters bought to life as they parade down London’s Regent Street.
Basil Brush will take the stage as special guest host, while a cast of hundreds are set to parade along Regent Street including marching bands, dancers and toy vehicles – watched over by an iconic giant Marshmallow Man.
New faces in this year’s line-up include Hey Duggee, Teletubbies, Go Jetters, Q Pootle 5, Something Special, Twirlywoos, LEGO Ninjago’s Kai, plus My Little Pony and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
They will join favourites from last year including Barbie, Bing and Flop, Fireman Sam, The Gruffalo, Peppa Pig, Sonic, Power Rangers and Transformers.
Grant Yuill, senior marketing manager at Hamleys, said: “We are back bigger and better in 2016, with even more well-loved characters, performers and activities for the family in the parade and on the street.
“There is so much for all the family to see on the day, this is set to be the most magical family day out yet.”
