Beanstalk brokers collaboration between British fashion designer and CB2.
British fashion designer Matthew Williamson has launched his first US home collection, with Beanstalk brokering a deal with CB2.
CB2 is the home destination for Crate and Barrel and has worked with the designer on a capsule collection which he describes as “controlled bohemia”.
The Matthew Williamson for CB2 collection features 33 pieces including lighting, accessories, rugs, pillows and furniture.
Each style follows the mood and complexity of Matthew’s ready to wear collections, using his signature artisanal patterns and vibrant colour.
“I’ve been fascinated with interior design for as long as I can remember,” said Matthew Williamson. “It’s been a passion of mine just like fashion, so I like to do my homework and research and I’ve seen the products CB2 produces and have admired them from afar.
“Everything I’ve designed is intended not to match perfectly but to sit together in harmony, to add flair and personality to any room.”
Ryan Turf, md of CB2, added: “We love Matthew’s ready-to-wear collections and how he strikes a balance between edgy and traditional. Matthew’s vision for home design is equally as fresh and got us really excited. Especially once we married our modern attitude with his rustic British aesthetic.
“We can’t wait to bring this marquee collection to the high streets of America for the first time ever.”
